The Colorful Old Town of Panama City

In general, I’m not a fan of Panama City, Panama. But, that’s not to say that there aren’t pockets of charm that you should visit. The old city is such a place. Reminiscent of Cartagena, it will take you back in time. Unlike Cartagena, the old town of Panama City feels like a ghost town. While many of the buildings have a veneer of upkeep, there’s a sadness in the quiet dignity of these buildings. As Panama City invests in yet another never-to-be-lived in high rise, the old city site patiently waiting to be rediscovered, not by the tourists, but by the Panamanians. Enjoy today’s Suh-Weet Shot and be sure to stop by to pay your respects when you visit Panama.
